Beautiful piece of small town U.S.A. I was in the arae and was able to drive the city and adored the older style homes in the community. There was particular home that has fascinated me since I've left and I'm upset that I didn't take the time to take a photo. The house is located on 88th. St. E. in between 12th ave and 13th ave on the south side of the road. Is this a building of historical significance? Would there be any pictures of this home available to view? Thanks! I would love to know more about this beautiful homestead.

My sole interest in your town is LAWRENCE WELK, whom I watch weekly on PBS. However, through this interest, I hope to learn more about your great town. My wife and I were missionaries in LIBERIA, WEST AFRICA for 37 years before coming back to our home state, GEORGIA, to "retire." Now, both of us are 75 and we are taking in more UNITED STATES CULTURE as a part of our worldwide orientation as Christians and American patriots.
God bless you and your town. I'm sure that there are many more persons, though less well known than Lawrence Welk, who are outstanding Americans in their own right!
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL.

Strasburg is my birthplace but I grew up near Bismarck. I've lived in Sioux Falls, SD since 1979. My heart is still in the Strasburg region. I sure would like to retire in or near Strasburg just to enjoy the old German culture but that North Dakota weather is so-o-o-o bad.

My Dad, Clarence Nieuwsma grew up in Strasburg. He loved watching the Lawrence Welk show because they went to school together. I love visiting and miss it. Thank you for letting me visit online.
