I have been to your fine city, and had a wonderful time, I stayed with a good friends family home, my friends name was Leona L. this was in the 80's. infact on our way back to wahpeton we were stopped and checked by troopers the day gordon call was being saught.

I am now married to Millie Nieuwsma from the Home-Sweet-Home rural farmland of Strasburg. We now live in Oregon with our two sons and a daughter-Peter, Kiara and Nicholas. When we come to visit her parents, we are always blessed to be among the members of the whole congregation of this Strasburg Reformed Church at the Sunday Service(s). My wife`s great grand parents were the founders of this Reformed Church of Strasburg and they were among the first few Dutch immigrants who first settled throughout these areas during those very, very tough times. I am trying to label some photos. Does anyone know which house was Ludwigs Welk's ( great Grandfather) when hemoved to town and which house if any was Joe Shumacher's? (Great Grandfather) . I am not sure my father ALex Welk had his info correct. He thought a house @ 307 or 507 So 2nd was Shumachers.
